Women finish fifth and Men 13th in Michigan Cross Country Intercollegiates

In preparation for the important Division III UW-Oshkosh Invitational next weekend, the Alma College Men's and Women's Cross Country teams participated in the Michigan Intercollegiates hosted by Calvin College at the Gainey Athletic Complex. The men finished 13th on Friday afternoon, while the women came in fifth place.

On the women's side, Sr. Julie Helm (St. Joseph, Mich./St. Joseph) finished 16th (out of 182 runners), while So. Misty Godley (Ithaca, Mich./Ithaca) was next for the Scots at 33rd place. Sr. Anna Sall (Holland, Mich./Hamilton) was third on Alma's team by finishing in the 42nd spot on the afternoon.

Sr. Garrett Lacy (Carson City, Mich./Carson City) paced the men with a 10th place finish, while Sr. Zach Caverley (Greenville, Mich./Greenville) was next at 62nd place. Sr. Max Morrison (Fremont, Mich./Fremont) rounded out Alma's top three finishers by coming across the line at 71st place.

The Scots will compete in Oshkosh on Saturday, October 13.
