Autumn Root earns MIAA Player of the Week honors

Alma Jr. D Autumn Root (Haslett, Mich./Haslett), was named MIAA Defensive Player of the Week on Monday. She played a key role on the defense with her ball winning as she helped the Scots post consecutive shutout victories, 2-0 over Saint Mary's and 5-0 over Albion. She also had two assists in the win over Albion. Root is being honored as Player of the Week for the first time in her career.

Adrian midfielder Courtney Pomeroy was recognized as Offensive Player of the Week and today marks the fourth time that a Scots player has been honored by the league this season.
