Alma Women's Soccer ranked #25 in NSCAA Poll on Tuesday
For the second time in school history, the Alma College Women's Soccer team is ranked nationally in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) weekly poll. In the NSCAA/Continental Tire Division III National poll released today, the Scots, who are 9-2-1 on the season, are ranked #25 in the country. The Scots were ranked #24 during the week of September 25.
"This team has worked very hard to be in this position and working to continue to win matches at a consistent rate," said Head Coach Jeff Hosler. "We are starting the second half of a very competitive MIAA schedule, with four teams consistently ranked in the top 10 regional rankings, every game will be a battle in this elite league. The goal for us is to remain in this national top 25 poll at the end of the year, which would reflect another NCAA tournament appearance and success in it."
On Tuesday, Alma is hosting Adrian College in a battle for the MIAA race as the first-place Scots are three points ahead of the Bulldogs heading into the contest. The Scots enter the game with a league record of 6-1-1, while Adrian is 5-2-1. Other games for Alma this week include a home game versus Olivet on Thursday and an away date with Calvin on Saturday afternoon.
