Wrestling squad finishes an impressive fourth in the Ohio Northern Invite

On Saturday, the Alma College Wrestling team participated in the very talented Ohio Northern Invite and finished the day with an impressive fourth place finish out of 16 teams. The Scots had seven placed winners, including two champions and overall the team had a great day.

"The Ohio Northern tournament is one of the strongest ones out there and for us to do as well as we did is very exciting," said Scots Head Coach Todd Hibbs. "To place fourth with this solid of competition is something to build on as we get ready to host our first meet next weekend against Tiffin."

Sr. Matt Tuttle (Reading, Mich./Reading) won at 165 pounds, while Fr. Adam Robinson (Mason, Mich./Mason) took heavyweight honors for the Scots. So. Collin Lesko (Tecemseh, Mich./Tecumseh) placed second at 125 pounds and So. Casimer Strzynski (Ludington, Mich./Ludington) came in fourth at the same weight class.

Finishing fifth at 149 pounds was Fr. Caleb Huff (Sturgis, Mich./Sturgis), while Fr. Trevor Maresh (Northville, Mich./Northville) came in sixth place at 197 pounds. In addition, So. Tyler Foley (New Hudson, Mich./South Lyon East) placed eighth at 125 pounds.

Each of the brackets had 32 wrestlers.
