Alma comes out on top of Scots by a score of 30-25

The re-birth of Alma College Wrestling entered its second season tonight when the team participated in the 2012 Intra-Squad match at Art Smith Arena. In a match that truly had no losing side, Alma defeated the Scots 30-25 on a night of very encouraging performances up and down the line-up.
"Last year there was obvious excitement because it was the first year, but those closest to the program had an even elevated level heading into this evening," said Scots Head Coach Todd Hibbs. "We have double the athletes we had in our first season and we are thrilled with how talented and deep our freshman class is and how that shapes our future.
"Tonight is kind of bittersweet because even though we definitely had strong performances, somebody had to lose as well. But, we need each and every one of these guys moving forward as a team and that is how we approached this match. We are happy with what we saw and again, the depth of our squad is very excting."
Alma's first competition will be on November 9 and 10, when they participate in the Muskegon Duals and Open. The Scots' first home match will be on December 8 against Tiffin University and Mott C.C.
