On Tuesday evening, the Alma College Men's Soccer team played a league road game at Kalamazoo and dropped a 1-0 decision to the Hornets. The Scots are now 6-9-1 in 2012 and and 2-7-1 in the MIAA, while Kalamazoo improved to 9-4-1 on the season and 7-3 in the league.
In a tightly contested and competitive match, the Hornets outshot Alma by a margin of 10-7, including 8-5 in shots on goal. But those shots resulted in just one goal for either team and occurred at 50:51, when Rory Landis got one past Alma Jr. GK Graham Wallace (Grand Rapids, Mich./Forest Hills Eastern).
The Scots had five different players get a shot on goal against Kalamazoo - So. D/M Doug Beckman (Marquette, Mich./Marquette), Fr. M Julian Birge (East Lansing, Mich./East Michigan), Fr.
