Men's Golf finishes in a tie for fifth in the MIAA Jamboree #3 on Wednesday

The Alma Men's Golf team competed in the MIAA Jamboree #3 on Wednesday afternoon and finished in a tie for fifth in an event hosted by Olivet College. The Scots had a team score of 315, tying Albion College. Alma will resume play on Saturday in the Jamboree #4 that will be hosted by Trine University in Angola, Ind.

So. Marty Predmesky (Graham, NC/Graham) tied for second overall today with a score of 72, as Calvin's Ben Kuiper was the medalist with an even par 71. Next for Alma was Sr. Greg Silverthorn (Shepherd, Mich./Shepherd) with a mark of 78, while Jr. Jake Moran (Sterling Heights, Mich./Henry Ford II) was next with an 81. Sr. Chris Williamson (Fowlerville, Mich./Fowlerville) finished the day with a score of 84 for Alma.

Calvin College was first at 305, followed by Trine (Ind.) University at 307. Adrian and Hope tied for third at 311, while Albion and Alma shared fifth at 315. Olivet finished at 321 and Kalamazoo shot a 337.

After three Jamboree's, Olivet College is the leader with a total of 909 strokes, while Trine is only two strokes behind at 911. Hope is third at 922, followed by Adrian 925; Albion 937; Olivet 939; Alma 940; and Kalamazoo 966.
