On Saturday, Alma College will host the 32nd Annual MHSFCA High School All-Star Football game at Bahlke Field. Kickoff is set for 4:00 p.m. and the game will be televised state-wide on Fox Sports Detroit. A crowd of nearly 7,000 is expected to attend the event.
"The game is the culmination to a great week of football and community activity on campus and here in Alma," said Alma College Athletic Director John Leister. "The two teams having been working very hard on the field and also took time out on Wednesday to serve and eat lunch with over 100 residents of the Masonic Home here in town. We are looking forward to a great day."
On Wednesday afternoon, all 85 players for the two teams, divided into East and West squads, took the short walk from campus to the Masonic Pathways Senior Living Services facility and served lunch to over 120 of the residents. After serving, the players gathered their own lunches and sat and mingled with the residents.
The game itself will feature many players that will advance on to play at the next level. The game is being played at Alma College for the first time.
